Whitby Goth Weekend 2012

I have booked Whitby Goth weekend on 26th to 30th April 2012 and will have a stall selling there. It is a gothic music festival in the gorgeous little fishing town of Whitby, North Yorkshire with perhaps more focus on socialising, enjoying the beautiful village and shopping for gothic clothes and items. The goths invade for two brilliant weekends a year, April and October and enjoy the Abbey ruins pictured below. Whitby is a place that is part of the storyline in the book Dracula by Bram Stoker published year 1897.

News flash! – Dogs break into the doll house….

While making Doll art (Cannibal Charlottes) today I left the doll box unguarded and the dogs attacked! When I returned to the scene of the crime I found doll parts everywhere. I am sure the dogs had good reason, like the dolls were going to kill us while we are sleeping. Looks like the dogs had great fun - this is the aftermath and me trying to retrieve a doll from one of them…… new items coming soon ….chewed doll part accessories??!!

I am creating a new range of Victorian style Swiss waists / belts in both leather and fabrics. This is the first one I have made in leather; themed 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea for Steamcon III, Seattle, with the classic Kraken attacking a ship image and part of chapter 18 of Jules Verne’s book etched onto the leather belt.
